Honeybourne Complete Major Refurbishment Project at Dudley College

The CAT Centre Project Dudley College

The work undertaken in this major project was to refurbish the CAT (Construction Apprenticeship Training) Centre at Dudley College. This is the main Apprenticeship Centre for electricians, carpenters, decorators, plumbers, brick-layers and plasterers.

Not having been been utilised for over 2 years the training site required a complete overhaul.

The scope of the work carried out by Honeybourne Facilities Group included:

  • 43 rooms refurbished;
  • Kitchen and Dining area decorated and new flooring;
  • 15 new training bays created;
  • New changing rooms and shower block built;
  • 3 new IT rooms built;
  • Over 1300 Sqm of carpet tiles laid;
  • Over 700 Sqm of vinyl laid;
  • Over 300 Sqm of floor paint;

The transformation is breath taking, in only a short space of time a rundown empty building has been completely transformed. There is now a bright, airy reception to showcase the entrance to the CAT centre. Students will be able to take full advantage of the newly refurbished building, enhancing their learning capacity within the new classrooms and training bays.
