Honeybourne, with their wealth of experience within this sector, have been engaged to extend 12 existing Key stage 2 classrooms at Kings Heath Primary School, to increase each classroom’s floor space by 40-45%. In addition, works to convert an existing staff room area in to a classroom & a number of office and administration spaces / offices are being carried out and a relocation of the staff room into another area of the school that is currently a very small classroom space.
Work commenced in February 2017 and due to be finished at the end of August, ready for the new school year in September.
Beginning of May saw the completion of the first two classrooms. The two existing classrooms have been transformed into a now spacious area allowing children to enjoy their new learning area, which is light and airy. The classrooms have a door leading to the playground where the children can now access this over a smart terrace walkway.
The overall look and feel of the new classrooms is impressive with the high quality of workmanship that has been delivered by Honeybourne.
Adrian Broadbelt, Business Manager for Kings Heath Primary School commented “We are delighted with the work being undertaken by Honeybourne, the project is being exceptionally managed, and we are looking forward to watching the new classrooms progress”.
